Dr. Richard A. Floyd, O.D.
Dr. Floyd graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He was awarded his Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry graduating cum laude. Since 1988 he has practiced full scope optometry at Dr.'s Simmerman and Floyd. Dr. Floyd has been on staff at both the Philadelphia Veterans Administration and Wilmington Veterans Administration where he served as the head optometrist at the United States Coast Guard Academy Tracen, Cape May. He served as a staff member at South Jersey Eye Associates. Dr. Floyd has been a member of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and has lectured extensively to eye care professionals on the topics of medical eyecare. Since 2012, Dr. Floyd has been the president and owner of Pitman Family Eyecare.
Dr. Floyd is affiliated with the American optometric Association, New Jersey Optomeric Association and South Jersey Optometric Society. Dr. Floyd was past-president of the South Jersey Optometric Society.
His own academic and clinical interests are wide with emphasis on providing full scope care to his patients whether they need treatment for glaucoma, spectacles to restore vision or multifocal contacts for presbyopic patients.

A resident of Pitman himself with his wife, Cheryl and two daughters, Lillian and Cecilia. Dr. Floyd's interests involve interacting with the community through his martial arts school, Pitman Martial Arts, piloting his sailboat and spending time with his family.

Dr. Floyd always puts his patient's interests first and maintains a friendly staff that offers personal service to his patients.
Dr. Cecilia G. Verratti, O.D.
Dr. Verratti (Dr. V) graduated with honors from Rowan University in 2018 with a B.S. in Translational Biomedical Science. She then went to Salus University (her dad's alma mater) to earn her degree in Doctorate in Optometry with Advanced Studies in Contact Lenses. Presently, she has been working alongside her dad since summer 2022.

Dr. V is focused on Myopia Control, Pediatrics, and Dry Eye. At Pitman Family Eyecare, she is spearheading the new Myopia Control Clinic as well as our social media presence (as dr.v_theod on instagram)! She is a member of NJSOP and AOA.

She is married and resides in Winslow Township, NJ with her husband and cat. Her hobbies include: reading, anything artistic, gardening, and snorkeling. Her newest goal is get PADI certified in 2023!
