Since 1930, Drs. Simmerman & Floyd in Sewell, New Jersey, have been providing complete eyecare services in a family-oriented atmosphere. Dr.'s Martin and Steven Simmerman having practiced for nearly 50 years have handed the practice over to Dr. Richard Floyd who has been serving Gloucester County residents since 1988.
Dr. Floyd and his friendly staff provide complete eyecare services for patients ranging from three years old and up. Our new name of, Pitman Family Eyecare, reinforces our desire to provide quality services in a small town family oriented environment.

PITMAN FAMILY OPTICAL
Our optical, one of the largest in Gloucester County, offers quick turnaround on almost all eyeglass prescriptions, many can be ready in under 24 hours. Our head optician, Janet, has 25 years of training and expertise and will guide you to the right frame and lens selection for your condition and lifestyle. We stock many of the popular brands of soft contacts and can order others upon request.
Full Range Of Medical Eyecare
Our office offers a full range of medical eyecare including the treatment of eye infections, allergies, eye injuries, glaucoma care , cataract evaluation, pre and post-op cataract care, lasik comanagement, and the full range of ophthalmological consultation in the event of the need for surgical intervention. Dr. Jesse Richman, a cataract and glaucoma specialist is available at our office for consultation.

Facility
Pitman Family Eyecare is a 4,000 square foot recently remodeled office with ample parking off of the street. Our practice is accessible to all patients (there is a handicap ramp located at front of our building) and spacious waiting area and optical. With four exam lanes our space offers the ability to move patients in and out quickly and efficently with the latest technology in eyecare available.
